Julie Mitrovich King

Julie Mitrovich King began serving as a Magistrate in the Lake County Domestic Relations Division on January 2, 2003, assigned to the Child Support Unit.  In 2012, she began focusing her work on mediating disputes and helping parties work to resolve their family matters.   Magistrate King was named as the court’s Mediation Director in 2017.   On April 1, 2021, Magistrate King was appointed as a trial magistrate with the court.

Prior to joining the Court, she was employed by the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and Chief of the Appellate Division.  Magistrate King is also an adjunct faculty member at Lakeland Community College and teaches in the Paralegal Program.

Magistrate King earned her B.A. in International Affairs at George Washington University, Washington, DC (1991), and earned her J.D. at Cleveland Marshall College of Law, Cleveland, Ohio (1994).
